We founded Accountable Bookkeeping because we saw a need in the market for small to mid-sized real estate owners and companies. Many are too big to manage the bookkeeping alone but too small to get the attention they deserve from larger accounting firms.

My Story
I’m a tax preparer and property accountant with a passion for real estate. I’ve managed accounting for portfolios of all sizes, from single-building landlords to private equity developers with 80+ properties. With a deep understanding of both taxes and real estate, I help clients streamline their finances, reduce stress, and make smarter financial decisions.
My journey into real estate accounting began in 2020 when I transitioned from tax preparation and accounting. In 2023, I was contracted by the City of Chicago to help citizens purchase city-owned real estate at discounts for development. I also serve on my condo’s Homeowners Association board, gaining hands-on experience managing commercial property finances.
In 2024, I was recruited by a private equity property developer to manage their portfolio of over 80 properties. That August, I was asked to help a friend’s family real estate business with bookkeeping.
After realizing most people turning to me needed real estate and accounting related help, I founded Accountable Bookkeeping to meet the growing demand for my niche expertise. Since then, I’ve been dedicated to supporting real estate investors, developers, and managers keep their finances organized and stress-free.
